Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.

Another hot topic this election season is clearly the ongoing dependence on Energon. This precious life-giving energy is in ever shorter supply, and the Decepticon's plan of opening up new sources of energon by tapping Earth has brought the eternal war to that planet as well. Optimus Prime is advocating change in this area, moving more bots to alternative energy sources such as solar and fusion power. Megatron, too, has come out claiming to want energon alternatives, but has also advocated further expansion of new energon sources on Earth including the possible conversion of Earth oil into energon. |
